A car the Germans wish they made? You mean an interior made out of recycled ziplock bags? An exterior that resembles a puffin? Wow! Ask Jeremy Clarkson which car he prefers. I know he gave such rave reviews after he drove the Impreza WRX and STi![]()

wow, your a grade A euro snob. Europe is not >all Why is it that toyota is the worlds top car manufacturer? Is it because people are all brainwashed into thinking japanese cars are a better buy than European? You give a bad name to people who drive european cars, makes me wonder why i get stupid looks from people when i drive my bmw. I don't blame them, when theres a bunch of dumbasses like you who drive european cars.

That was filmed at Mission Raceway near Vancouver, BC. Literally the most ghetto track ever... it looks better in the commercial than it really is.

They really should make Motive the sole point of entry so it's really separate like so many claim it is.

do you by any chance happen to wear sunglasses, A/X t-shirt, and pump techno music while driving your BMW? If so, that's why.

I guess they needed to do something to respond to VW's anti-rice commercials.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCIF6JF1O5U

Subaru makes nice cars, but I don't think most people believe any Subaru has the handling and refinement of any of the German cars.

Is the STi ugly? Sure. Does the Evo make it even less appealing to me? Absolutely. But rice? No.

Last I checked, most of the German cars were heavy and had soft suspension, and numb steering. Refinement? No contest there. As for your blanket claim that Subaru's can't handle as well as "any" German car.
Kudos to you for having such fierce brand loyalty.

Have you been in a VW lately? Have you been in a new WRX or STi? I have. The interiors are worlds apart. I had high hopes on the new STi, and so did my wife. But after getting in one, it just felt blah. I mean you knock on the dash and you get bruised knuckles from the hard crappy plastics that I have in my company truck, which is a 1994 Chevy Silverado. I mean c'mon! Go sit in one. That interior of the new Impreza's is just plain garbage for that kind of money. Maybe you don't ask for better quality when you are dishing out $25k+, but I do. Go read Jeremy Clarksons impressions of the new Impreza's and their "new" interiors. Go read anyone's impressions with that interior.

Yes, i'm sure the STI owner will be so sad they have a hard (but durable) dash when they spank any VW (stock for stock) on the track.
Seriously when you ahve to resort to interior and clarkson (Mr, the Z06 costs $100k less and drives better than the ferrari, but you should get the ferrari for the interior) for reasons a performance car sucks, its time to stop.
The Lotus elise has a pretty crappy interior.
Yes, the STIs no looker but neither is the GTI/R32 (now i think they look better than the STI, but not good).
I probably don't know what I'm talking about (but I know more than you)
