I actually think that the swirls and pattern camo makes the thing look better.

VR6s should sound like Chewbacca getting raped...on the Bang Bus

How can this be a new BMW? There a no pointless and superfluous lines and creases in the body.

  12. 04-02-2008 03:44 PM #12

Please say it's not getting Z-like tails.... Yark. I'd prefer the current setup to something like that.

    1. It's a lot bigger visually, in much the same way the D3 Audi A8 is much bigger visually than the D2.

    2. Man, camo is getting weird.

    3. I'll have to see it with no camo at all to pass judgement on it.

    Get off my lawn.

Check out my thread on old roads!

That camo is pretty effective at breaking up the lines, especially that side shot. You have to take a good look at it and try to visualize it without the stuff on there, and it's not easy.

It's really hard to say whether it's going to look good or not from these pics.

Probably some sort of distance counter to calibrate the speedo or other test equipment.

The car looks very toned down compared to the concept CS. Which is probably a good thing.

Looking good so far. It's amusing how now super luxury cars don't hide their exhausts anymore.

Agreed but I like it that BMW is getting back to their roots a little bit. Very clean design from what I can see.

    That front end looks 1-series-ish...

Even with camo looks a bit toned down from the current, I hope BMW stays radical with the 7

It's just strange given all the hooplah over flaming the past several years. I mean... there is utterly NO hint of a flame on that side. Not even a twinkle of light. It's non-flammable.

  33. 04-02-2008 10:23 PM #33
    yawn.

Now... if it looked more like the Concept CS....

x2. probably used for tuning/R&D purposes. probably not for speed/distance, as they could just use GPS for that.

back on topic, looks like it'll be toned-down from the last-gen. the return of handsome BMWs??
