EDIT Car is now for sale on Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...rucks- It was used by an audio company in 1992 to show off 12k worth of sound equipment
- It has the complete SHO 3.0 5-speed front end mated with a Taurus wagon rear as well as SHO bumpers and plastic all around
- There were NO SHO wagons in production. There are only a handful of these SHO wagons in existence
Some pics from the seller. (They don't do the car any justice)

Awesome!I'm a big fan of the SHO motor (I even have a 3.0L 5-speed waiting to be rebuilt) and love seeing it in something even more sleeper than a 4-door sedan!

The rear bumper from the sedan just doesn't match on the wagon.

i don't get it.

thats pretty un-insipring in a good way.
totally a sleeper, I mean even if they know what a SHO is, they wont even see the wagon coming....
you could probably blast down the highway at 100+ and the police wouldn't even bat an eye.
I'd rock a sho wagon, but switch the wheels back to the oem silver.

This one was professionally built in a shop, but some of the wagons were home built

SHO sedan = Yes please!
SHO wagon = WTF?... Hrmmm.... Sure! Why not?!?!?![]()
#11
Because they are handbuilt with parts swapped from an SHO. I see it's the ultra rare emerald green. LOL! Color matched wheels are ugly IMO. Love to own a wagon.

Keep that bad boy for a long, long time.

Wow. Too bad about the color though. It would be ever better in that SHO gray/silver color.![]()

Car and Driver had a article on a SHO wagon. It was a one-off made by Ford: http://www.shotimes.com/SHO2wagon.html

Why is it that 90% of the time I see a Taurus sedan or wagon of this generation it's that color green? Was green the silver of that time?
#25
Hotness.
I demand this accompany you to Cincy next June. It'll keep Mike Bee in his Voosh company![]()

Ands that's why most low priced used vehicles of the 90s are green. They sold tons of them. But at least it's not teal, which was also somewhat popular back then. (shivers)

Put some stock non SHO Taurus alloys on it- and drive around at night and confuse some kids on sport compacts at redlights (in 1st gear). Add in an LSD (Quafe?) and a nice set of headers- and it would be a formidable sleeper.

The early Taurus wagon rekindled the US's affection for wagons for a short time. They were an attractive design, and people did notice.

Green...or burgundy. And with gold emblems/letting. *barf*
This wagon is cool but those body-colored wheels are TOTALLY naff...
