This is incredible! The car looks very well executed and I wish I had one 50th of this guy's ability to form metal; simply stunning. What's up with the 2 hoods?

got this from honda tech which was found on Lotus talk. No original link was posted or anything so this is all i got.
I love this story... seems like an urban myth, but is a legendary true story. I know the guy personally. If you have an early rls Intercooler w/ the aluminum bracket, it was built by Ken!Ken is a craftsman... an aluminum worker and TIG welder as well as a great machinist. Years ago, he decided to build a Lamborghini Countach from scratch... almost every part was hand fabricated by Ken.
He built the car in his basement, knowing that one day he would need to extract the car from his house. It was, until last week, a ship in a bottle.
Ken hired a contractor to knock out one of the basement walls, excavate a whole bunch of dirt and form a ramp in order to remove the car form its residential womb.
Here are the very first photos of the car in progress and the newly freed car.

Incredible!A chap in the UK did something similar in his kitchen. Cost him his marriage and of course, his house took a beating when he set the car free!

Pfft... Kit Cars eh....
That's freaking AWESOME!!
Can't believe those metalworking skills... guess there are still people around who deserve to be called Craftsmen, and not just Tradesmen.

The color, the wheel & tire setup, the stance, and the attention to detail make this the best looking Countach I have ever seen. This projects needs, no, demands a multi-page build thread with at least 1,000 pictures!

Jesus hole-digging Christ, that's ****ing nuts! I don't know which I'm more impressed with - the incredible build, or the legendary extraction. It's like a big, metal Jessica McClure.

I have met someone that claims he built a boat in his backyard. He lived in a semi detached house, with the distance in between his house and the neighbors being only about 4 feet wile, the boat was slightly wider than that.
The boat was all wood, ended up being burnt.![]()

I know this defeats the entire purpose...But I think it's hilariously ironic that for less than the cost of knocking out that wall and then rebuilding it the guy probably could have bought a used Countach in need of restoration.
I literally can't imagine what it would take to build something like that by one's self. I'd be willing to bet the build quality and NVH of that car are better than a factory-built vintage Countach.

Every time I read about things like this, I am reminded of what a completely skill-less and worthless excuse for a human I am, and that I will probably never do anything in my entire life that could trump what this guy has done. Truely amazing. I bow down to this dude.Wonder if he's going to build a proper garage door and concrete ramp and keep it in the basement?
#29
that is absolutely amazing.hopefully the original build thread can be found.

These pictures appear in Webster's next to the definition of "****ing awesome."We definitely need more pics!

There was a guy in the UK who built a kit-car in the garden of his terraced house. He had to hire a huge crane to lift it over the house in to the street!

I'm not surprised his wife left him!

Friggen incredible, that color combo is gorgeous. Countach defines awesome outlandish extreme hypercar.

Hehehehe, looks like an older guy too...probably married...I can just see it.... "Martha! You can come down to the basement now - I've got something I want to show you..."
