That looks worse. Why anybody would trust a dealership to alter the appearance of their car is beyond me (pinstriping, anyone?).

New, ugly TL is ugly no matter what.
#13
Ehh, ugly but better imho. We need a different angle.

The local Honda dealer was adding larger wheels/tires to their new 03 Civic SI hatchbacks, and that was both a performance and looks improvement.

omfg.what the hell.
but, to be on topic, it looks marginally better than that unpainted grille

Somebody email this thread to Acura executives, so they can have the proof they need to jump out of the nearest open window.Nissan tried it with the Maxima, and it failed! Too bad you couldn't learn from their mistake Acura!

Someone paint the whole grill with photoshop and lets see how that goes.

Can someone photoshop the whole pic black. One of the worst car designs ever created.
Dealers painting cars that have barely been sold yet shows they clearly understand the challenge they have selling such an ugly vehicle.

The "color keyed" top grill panel does look better on the dark colored cars. But the design itself is just ghastly. I would love to know whose responsible for this huge botch job.Being different for the sake of being different is not always good. This is one such case.

Really makes no difference as far as I can see.It looks just as much like a retarded robot face as it did before. The color of the grille was not the problem. Needs an entirely new grille. Now.

Agree. The grill isn't the only flaw in the design of this car... not even close. I also agree that this is an improvement.

Well, there aren't many ways in which you could paint a grill, and I think that these customers *asked* the dealers to paint their grills, so this post is![]()

I think it might look better.....maybe...... ok it's still gross.

This kind of stuff makes you literally nauseated when you look at it. Your eyes just don't know what to settle on. Very annoying and make a design look cheap too.

It is EPIC FAIL on a car design to warrant such changes from dealers and it hasn't been sold for a month yet.
Acura went though all this trouble to say "the plastic Plebium grill is our distinguishing feature" and the first thing people do is paint it?
![]()
How the hell did that grill get past sane people who approved the design?
