    When I was little, I forget the story of how I got there, but I was in this garage of this house and he had the door panal off that silver car with the pink letters that Dale Sr drove in the Winstron and the nose off of Rusty's car from that famous accident he had where he flipped end over end a few times.... but what stands out in my memory the most, a small sandwich bag with the label: "Air from Dale Earnhardt's tire"

    That's because air is so valuable to the NASCAR crowd. With the gaping hole in most of their collective heads, that space between their ears needs constant refilling...

    I forgot how immature TCL is about NASCAR.

    Cause everyone that watches the sport has to be retarded.

    I believe this to be the case as I have yet to see evidence to the contrary.

    Anecdotes are not evidence, but we'll ignore that for right now.

    My parents watch NASCAR races. They go to one race a season, in Delaware, where they can see the entire track from their seats. I've always considered my parents relatively 'normal'.

    As someone who doesn't watch regularly, I'm a bit of an outsider. I don't mind watching a race or two with my parents, but I won't watch on my own. To me, it seems like NASCAR is more a drama about racecar drivers (and advertisements) than it is about the actual race. If people want to watch it, and like it, I have no problems.

    In my mind, NASCAR fans are no different than any other kind of major sport fans: Most are normal people who enjoy what they watch. Others are way too engulfed. Its kind of like people in TCL with cars.

    Football requires some level of brain function to follow along with what is happening.

    Rednecks =!= Retards.

    I know a few rednecks who can rebuild a transmission in half a day. How many retards do you know who can do that? The only retards I know like to stagger the wheels on their FWD VW's while bashing NASCAR for only turning left.

    I got free tickets to a nascar event once, its not really my cup of tea but the women there are gorgeous. I see nothing wrong with watching Nascar or the people who watch it, as long as they dont tear up the track and cause riots that effect my life its no big deal. But that lugnut thing is a bit strange...

    Although we are the 9th most deadliest city per capita, the area isn't that bad. Sure, the city of Youngstown is a giant cesspool, but the suburbs aren't bad. Living here is really cheap; $300k will buy you a a really nice mcmansion, 3,000+sqft. Job outlook has been nonexistent since the steel mills closed in the 70's, so the declining economy isn't felt nearly as bad around here, we've been in it for decades.

    Im from like 30 minutes from Youngstown... near where Geauga Lake used to be...

    Youngstown has some CRAZY hicktown areas, of course they have some GM plants there too, but that town has some interesting areas.

    Youngstown's funny like that. In one part it's pure redneck while the next part is pure ghetto, then you have the upper-middle class right in the middle.
