That take off vid was the coolest thing I have both ever seen and heard. Who gives a crap about a Ferrari when for a few stacks you can just keep loading up an economy car with VR6's. I bet you no one else at the carsandcoffee has one of these!

    you guys are hilarious.

it's a name, whether technically correct or not. STOP IT

notice how pretty much nobody in the build thread made any useless negative remarks about the clever name the guy called his project car?

Appreciate the talent, effort, and execution or leave IMO

i think a man of his caliber knows the difference between Twin VR6's and a W12 so can it

    god i hate people.

Im not sure how you are interpruting what I typed

it's too VR6's and a VR6 is a V shape. Just because someone says a Bugatti Veyron is just four 2.0 Turbo VW engines put together, doesn't mean they are being serious.

Im going to build a Passat with four 2.0's and post a vid on vortex claiming I have a Veyron engine

i don't get what the big deal is? so some guy put 2 economy car motors into an economy car?

Do not forget that here in Europe a 2.8 liter engine is a luxury engine, a 1.4 liter would be an economy engine. Then the strongest Lupo had 125 hp, this one has 408hp... Then it's gutted so it should weigh just under 1000kg so it is not that "normal"; at least not to us Europeans.

Ahh.. Because everywhere else.. if you mention VW or AUDI and Luxury in the same sentence you get laughed at.

What? You mean only in USA you get laughed at, right? Even us Canadians must be different because a VR6 is not considered an economy engine here.

    Hint: look at its MPG

I do not think that VW is seen as a luxury brand. Better equipped or more refined than its competitors, but as in the US very few people would buy a Phaeton over an A8.

But I was speaking generally. This could be an Opel Corsa with 2 Opel v6 engines, or a Fiat with two turbocharged inline fives for that matter, any engine with 2.8 liter is not considered an economy engine.

@DUTCHMANia: Where was that to be seen??? Did you see it? Did it work?

The thing is, the two VR6 motors are not side by side, or even both stuffed under the hood... they are on two seperete ends of the car....

And, that car is just badass.... i read the build thread not too long ago, and it took about 3 weeks for my jaw to return to its normal position.

Since when is the VR6 an economy engine? The cheapest car you can buy with a VR6 in Aust is $60k+

if they aren't connected, how is it W? Thats like saying if you have an inline 4 up front and one in back you have a V8.

    V_______V =/= W
