Quote, originally posted by UPI » PITTSBURGH, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- A Pennsylvania man called 911 to inform authorities he was too drunk to drive and was pulling his car over as a precaution, state police allege. An unidentified state police trooper said in a report that John Wilson, 26, of Knox, was arrested in the parking lot of a gas station in Sligo at 12:45 a.m. Saturday, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.
"(Mr.Wilson) related that he had left the bar and was on his way home when he realized he was too drunk to make it home," the state trooper alleged.
The Post-Gazette said police were awaiting the results of a blood-alcohol test before officially charging Wilson with driving under the influence.

At that point they should have just given him a ride...Hopefully this is just a broo-ha-ha for the press and they let him off with a warning.

my dad got pissdrunk once, and passed out in his car as soon as he started it up.cops found him, put him in the cruiser, dropped him off home, and left a note in his pocket with the address of the car. next morning he remembered nothing, and went around all over chicago bars he goes to looking for the car - seems mom was so mad, she hid the note from the cops from him to teach him a lesson

they should have just thrown him in the drunk tank for the night then let him go in the morning maybe given him a jay walking ticket or something small like that
he realized what he had done and tried to correct it if he has no prior DUI's then nothgin should come of it
