FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Officials say a suspected drug dealer who led police on a 90 mph chase in Indiana was arrested after he stopped suddenly at a Taco Bell parking lot.

Fort Wayne police Sgt. Mark Walters says 36-year-old Jermaine Askia Cooper told officers he "knew he was going to jail for a while" and wanted to get one last burrito.

Cooper was held without bail on four counts of dealing cocaine, one count of resisting arrest by fleeing and other charges.

A voicemail mailbox for a listing for a Jermaine Cooper in Fort Waine was full and not accepting messages.

Police say the chase began Tuesday after officers spotted Cooper, who was wanted on other charges, and tried to pull him over.

Quite a while ago (late 80s/early 90's) I worked with a guy on the afternoon shift.

One Friday night after work he carjacked a Datsun Z in a movie theatre parking lot.

(Un)Fortunately (for him) he couldn't drive stick and ended up bunny hopping the car across several parking lots in first or second gear to a Taco Bell where he parked it and nonchalantly went inside for some Mexican food.

He was arrested before he finished eating.

    I've never seen him since.

Next edit by onebadbug; tomorrow at 10:13 AM.

What you get isn't always what you see.

Man... I haven't had Taco Bell in years. The closest one to work is like 10 blocks away. Not exactly lunch hour friendly.

    Taco Bell, I love it!

I've had Taco Bell in the US, Guatemala, even Chile, but there is no Taco Bell in Mexico.

People ask me if I "like" it. Actually no, it's horrible, awfull...

But it is SO BAD that I kinda like it. Taco Bell is something you will never eat in Mexico, it has nothing to do with Mexican food at all. It is like a hamburger pretending to be a taco, just weird and unique on its own way.

Living in SoCal all my life I'm amazed that people will eat Taco Bell when there are authentic and even ghetto taco shops that are a billion times better! I mean come on Taco Bell will never have a California Burrito (carne asada, fries or potatos, cheese, guacamole, salsa) or carne asada fries! hellz ya!

You know what? **** it. I'm walking to T.B. today. It's gorgeous outside and 10 D.C. blocks isn't exactly a nightmare.

Damn dude, how long is your lunch break?

I work within a 3 minute drive of Taco Bell, but if I walked there it would be a half hour-40 minutes just to get there. All up hill, but hey maybe if I walked there with a skateboard I could coast back to work downhill

I don't have a car at work, so I can either walk or take mass transit, and it's just too nice of a day to be stuck on a bus or train just to get lunch.

Be careful. While in and of itself, Taco Bell may seem harmless, it can also be considered a gateway drug to the far more dangerous Qdoba.

It says something very sad and pathetic about someone if their choice for their last meal before the Big House is Taco Bell.

This is a great news story.

I to wonder if he tried to go through the drive through

I wonder what the police would have done if he tried that.
