Put the photos up if you have them! I love to see detailed build-shots.

Speaking of Pocher d'Italia models, this year is my 30th anniversary ( ) of not building my Pocher d'Italia Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Zagato Spyder. Since I plan on living to be 130, I figure I got plenty of time to tinker with it.

Do you enjoy old cars and long-winded stories about them? If your answer is "yes", then you might enjoy my blogpage. Try it here: http://vwlarry.blogspot.com . Leave a comment, too; I love feedback! Thanx for reading.

The really astounding thing about Pocher kits is the way that they commit to intricately detailed sub-assemblies that, when the modeler is finished building them, will never be seen by anyone's eyes again. The engines are fully built-up, with metal cylinder sleeves, pistons, rods, and even a built-up Hirschman-style crankshaft on the Alfa, so that when one cranks the engine, one cannot SEE all the detailed reality inside, but merely feel it. Even the drum brakes on my Alfa are fully functional, and actuate when the tiny brake pedal is depressed. It's almost overwhelming in its detail. I think that's one reason why I've let it sit in the box for 30 years.

Detail shot of similar Alfa engine in Pocher kit:
