Ahead of the car's Frankfurt Auto Show debut, Audi has released a small collection of photos and full press text for its best-selling A4 replacement. The brand is using the car's launch to introduce a slew of technology and equipment, features the car will most certainly need as it enters the hotly contested segment where it competes.
This place is is insane - the biggest complaint I hear in the Car Lounge is that VW's are too expensive when loaded up with options and yet when they want to decontent and lower the price, the complaints get even louder. You can't have it both ways.
No, NO! Bad Monkey! Back the MKIV Lounge! Very bad Monkey!

You know, since you always seem to see ridiculous likenesses in every new vehicle, it makes me wonder how you've made it through life thus far without mistaking a jug of bleach for your latte.
All in all it looks great and I love the new headlights, but from behind it looks a little to much like the e90.

i want to see a full side pic... other renderings of the A4 showed it with a long hood and short trunk which i didnt like at all... but these pictures seem to show it with a more even proportion

2.0TDI will get about 43mpg(US)...that's not too bad for a heavy car like this. I'd love to get the v6, though the gas mileage drops to 34, which isn't that great. i wonder why they thought the 2.7TDI is a good idea as it only gets 35.6mpg, a whopping 1.6 mpg better than the 3.0TDI

Looks very good. Bring over one of the stronger Diesels with manual transmission and quattro, and I might reconsider my next purchase...
Of course, I would prefer a wagon...
The front LEDs look a bit screwy in these pictures, other than that, both pictures and data look phenomenal. I especially like the reduced weight and the mpg figures.

is it not comming [sic] with the 2.0t FSI
Those are the Euro engines --- smaller displacement is valued there because of reduced taxes. Also, the 2.7 is matched specifically to the FWD/multitronic.
In what way is 34mpg average bad for a powerful V6 AWD?
The plusses: * Another new car that doesn't have the windowline I keep bashing *Nice wheels
The not-so-plusses: *The rear looks like that new benz, and a few other cars *Not a fan of the SUV interior *The sides of the car kinda remind me of a Taurus for some odd reason *The new LED headlights look completely out of place, like someone shoved rope lighting in them.
The tail lights look like something Subaru would do, rear end mercedes, side.. still ford. With the old A4's window line, and the engine is mounted sideways. Eh, whatever. *yawn*
Because I really do want chaaaaaange, I'm voting for Hillary.

Gorgeous car. Audi has really been on a roll lately! Mike
"Ferraris are serious cars for serious people who drive around wearing a serious expression. The Gallardo can do serious, too. It has Audi electrics and Audi engineering. But as you careen towards the next bend on a wave of extraordinary sound, half blinded by your own upholstery, you’ll be making the noise of a howler monkey and wishing you were naked" The one and only Jeremy Clarkson
I need to see thsoe lights in person... so far I'm not diggin them, not on the R8, not on the A5, not on this...
The above is an excerpt from the best selling book Band of Boozers, a heroic tale of ordinary alcoholics thrown together in an extraordinary time. Experience this harrowing Wino War II tale as only those that drank it can slurr.
I need more pictures... I wonder what the dash will look like if you do not order navigation? I like how the BMW's look without it and think the A4's might look good too... I just hate how Navi screens "clutter" or stand out in the middle of the dash.
A source at Audi says no... not initially. 3.2 is confirmed and 3.0 TDI is unofficially confirmed. What happens below that remains to be seen. Much of that also depends on their A3 strategy.
wow, looks very nice. but they need to do something about the engine choices for the u.s. market tho. but the highest engine output of only 265hp is somewhat of a disappointment. they need to put a turbo in that vr6 or better yet put the S3 engine in the 2.0t models.
