Quote, originally posted by Carscoop article » Yesterday we wrote “In 2008 Mercedes will broaden the range of the new C-Class Estate with an AMG version”. Duh… Our reader Leo from Germany though had a different state of mind honoring us with a set of images featuring the 2008 Mercedes C 63 AMG Estate. Apparently, the C 63 AMG Estate will make its premier at this year’s Frankfurt show along with the rest of C-Class Estate versions. Just like the C 63 AMG Sedan, the Estate is equipped with a normally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine delivering 457 Hp and 600 Nm of maximum torque. According to the info supplied by our friend Leo, the C 63 AMG Estate will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 sec (Sedan: 4.5 sec) and achieve an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h (155mph). We’ll have more on the 2008 C 63 AMG Estate as soon as Mercedes… officially unveils the car.

So they're saying this will do 0-62 in the same amount of time as the RS6 avant? This must weigh a few hundred pounds less...which surprises me A LOT. Mechanical Life . Photography . . . . . Work . . . .

Why ? It's a much smaller car after all.
All fellow members of the Roman senate hear me. Shall we continue to build palace after palace for the rich? Or shall we aspire to a more noble purpose and build decent housing for the poor? How does the senate vote?Screw the poor!!!

Because its a Mercedes. And Mercedes usually weigh in at just a smidge heavier than God's balls.

Modern Audis are the heavy ones...they usually weigh the same or more than a comparable Benz these days. "On to the next one..."

I love it....Now it will be interesting to see if MB decides to bring this to the US market. Audi decided against certifying the RS4 Avant due to cost.

Yea I mean luxury sedans are light in general and then add in a big V10 and AWD system. How can the RS6 not weigh more than this car.

I'm confused. For years, only coupes got that grille. Now it's on sedans, and even wagons? What's up with that?Alliance Motor Group

I guess you didn't get the memo... I keed, I keed...
"Sport Models" will wear the star on the grill and "luxury" models will have the star standing tall as in the past. Or at least that's what they did with the new C-Class.

Am I crazy for thinking it looks kind of cheap and cheesy? PSN = PhilipGTITwitter Quote, originally posted by Juniper Monkeys » For the most part.
