Build it, but please make it at least 1000 lbs. lighter than your other SUVs. It doesn't matter if you have 300+ HP when you're pulling around 5000+ lbs.
For some reason the front reminds me of ED-209. It's probably the first Land Rover I could see myself buying, as long as it doesn't come with it's own gravitational field like the rest of the lineup.

I'd hit it! This is what BMW wanted to do, I'm sure, with their X5 "coupe". I'd love to see a Caddy SUV "coupe"!

There are plenty of existing technologies that produce emissions free electricity. There isn't one single technology in the world that produces emissions free gasoline.
If it adds to their bottom line (e.g. increases sales), it's far from useless.
As a fan of Toyota/Lexus, you should realize this more than anyone.
Useless as in utility. SUVs with no utility, IMO are worthless. I am a fan of all cars, and Lexus, not really Toyota. So knock off the ridiculous rhetoric in every thread.

I'm HONESTLY not trying to start another war of words with you, but I'll give you the following hypothetical situation, and you let me know what you think.
Let's say you're single or part of a DINK (dual income, no kids) household who lives in a Northern city with lots of snow. Maybe you have a pair of jet skiis, a boat or some ATV's you need to tow. Aside from having two vehicles, what makes more sense than a small, 2-door SUV with good foul-weather traction and towing ability? You don't need a ton of space for the kids, but you still need some utility. I'm not saying this vehicle will appeal to everyone....it's definitely a niche market. But it may make sense for RR, especially since people seem to be abandoning their large SUVs for smaller, more efficient ones. This, along with the LR2, would give such buyers another "small" SUV option from which to choose and still stay in the RR family.

It won't be useless with a curb weight of 3800 lb and a 380 bhp Yamaha Volvo derived engine.
There were talks of a "black label" Freelander in the past but that was canned simply because it would cut into the RR and RRS. Once the RR goes 500 hp in 2 years, I suspect this could be slotted in that 350-400 hp area.

They have to sell this type of cars to bring their emission and fleet cafe averages down. The LR2 has decent fuel economy. With more emphasis on sport than off-road, this would bring it down even further.
Basically, if Land Rover wants to survive, they have to sell this car. Same for Hummer and their HX, H4.

Point taken, I prefer to use DINKY though, not DINK...
Well, since some people think that a 2-door sedan = coupe, I am not surprised.
All fellow members of the Roman senate hear me. Shall we continue to build palace after palace for the rich? Or shall we aspire to a more noble purpose and build decent housing for the poor? How does the senate vote?
Love the way that front fender arch pierces the hood line, and the light wrap back to meet it. The rear view is just as nice, some of the best tail light graphics I've seen in a long time.
Well done, Land Rover
