The 2009 Honda Pilot shares a platform with the '07 Acura MDX, starting at a lower price, with simpler features, seating 8 people. It also features a new Variable Cylinder Management system, which means the engine, can run on 6, 4 or 3 cylinders. The looks draw heavily on classic American SUV design themes, but improve upon them in a clean, contemporary way. Just look at the area behind the C-pillars for instance; it resembles what the Jeep Liberty should have looked like. Inside, the central instrument binnacle is highlighted by a clear, lighted cover that certainly looks much better than the shabby black plastic you'll find there on most vehicles
You know, since you always seem to see ridiculous likenesses in every new vehicle, it makes me wonder how you've made it through life thus far without mistaking a jug of bleach for your latte.
"You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos, mother****er!"
I'd say that this is the best looking Pilot yet. If SUV sales dont tank completely this will sell like crazy. Very tightly styled. Looks the best of the new Hondas.
looks more an exploer/escape that fell into a chrome bath

"Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong."

The more I look at it, and this may sound dumb, but this truck has a confused look on its face. And the more I look at it, it won't be that hard to fix, the worst thing about it are the headlights and the grill. If they fix those, it could look ten times better. Minus the butter face, its proportions aren't so bad...
Exterior is too slab sided for my tastes, grille isn't too bad, but the Explorer America concept is better. The interior is pretty good, I like most of the design, except for the placement of the shifter. It may not get in the way of your hands controlling the center stack, but I think it may interefere with line of sight.
I've liked most recent Honda concepts and cars- but this is something, umm, different. The Pilot was anonymously handsome- this is aggressively ugly. It's like a Jeep Commander raped a CR-V.
