Honestly, it looks great, especially considering that it's a KIA. Looks a little liek the new Nissan pathfinder from the side profile. I like it.

I thought V8 SUVs were going down the toilet. Or did I miss something about how V8s and $95/barrel oil don't go together very well?

This has 3 rows of seating.
from the press release:

I personally like Kia's styling trend. Nothing at all wrong with an understated front fascia...I especially liked the look of the Rio when it was in my rear window: simple, not flashy.

Correct. It's a full-size, body-on-frame vehicle with the new 'Tau' corporate V8 as it's top engine.
