You can tell it was originally designed as a sedan.

The small greenhouse makes it look a little porky. I prefer the sedan.

Looks like it has the same Recaro seats as the V. This would be nice in V trim.

I see a hint of AMX in that roofline, which is not a bad thing.

That's the first place my mind went. I like it, but not as much on first impression as the sedan.

You know what, I actually don't like it. Something about the rear end really just doesn't sit right with me. The interior is just fabulous though.

Exactly. The AMX has/had a beautiful shape, and the CT Coupe evokes that without being derivative.

Are you serious? I don't see it at all. This design is surprising - I was expecting a much more conventional coupe, along the lines of the E92 or the G37. I like it though.

At first glance it is a little hatch-backy to me. But the more I look at it the more I like it. I see shades of Audi GT in the shape of the roofline. Not to mention it looks different from all the other mid-sized luxo-coupes out there.

Gorgeous car!! GM is going to have a knockout on their hands when this comes to market. This is the first american car that's really knocked me off my feet in a long time. Kudos to them

I think it's a great looking car. It does look like a hatchback more than a traditional coupe, to me.

This car reminds much of the BMW M Coupe. Why? The Z4 didn't appeal to me too much, but once BMW produced it as a coupe the design just came together and all the design attributes just looked correct. The CTS Coupe is similar in that the design just works so much better once the body style is changed. Great job GM!

It actually looks like it has a shorter WB, which would be cool as hell. Hard to tell.

They did a far better job integrating the lower agressive rocker panel trim here than the V sedan.

I just LOVE how they integrate the wheel flares... from the squar-ish body forms/creases to the round wheel wells. OUTSTANDING.

I love the more aero mirrors.

Camaro? CTS Coupe? F' it! My kids can get a college loan, just like I did!

I was about to say the exact same thing Brian. Maybe that's why so many people here are popping a chubby for it.

FTR, I think it's sexy as hell too.

To me it looks heavy with the hood and trunk looking too big; hood especially due to the tall grill and the door seam that ends in the port. On the other hand some aspects are really sexy.
I wonder if you can actually see anything but hats out of the rear window?

from press release
"The CTS Coupe, of course, ascertains the sedan's 3.6L V-6 engines, including the 304-horsepower (227 kW) Direct Injection power plant. The Coupe Concept also is designed for a new 2.9L turbo-diesel being developed for international markets. This new engine, tailored for use in the CTS, will deliver an estimated 250 horsepower (184 kW) and 406 lb.-ft. of torque (550 Nm)."

That is cool. Promoting the idea of a turbo diesel for a personal luxury car!

A bit too much "canvas" for the rear fenders. But a lot of cars suffer from that and dwarf even the largest of wheels.

First impression: 9.5 out of 10. Hot hot hot.
