Two image have leaked online of Maserati's new GranTurismo S, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show. The GranTurismo debuted a year earlier at the European show, so it seems fitting this new high-performance variant will break cover at the same venue.
The GranTurismo S is expected to receive a 4.7 liter V8 in place of the regular GT's 4.2 liter unit. Output is expected to be around 440 horsepower — a nice boost from the standard 405 horses.
An advanced dual-clutch transmission will replace the ZF six-speed automatic. New high-power Brembo brakes will improve stopping distance.

Indeed, that car is pretty much the automotive equivalent of having angry sex with Angelina Jolie while duck-hunting with rocket-launchers alongside Satan himself.

I want to love the GranTursimo SOOOO bad...It just weighs 4200 lbs. The 440 hp is a bump in the nice direction, but I want 500.

Well, they're not exactly building it for you. They're building it for their customer base, who all wanted a little more height and a little more rear seat room. They're not buying the ***** so that people who have no intention of actually buying one can approve of them while rolling by in their VW's
Yesterday we brought you news from AutoExpress that Maserati will debut the GranTurismo S at the Geneva Motor Show next week. Today we have more details from the Maserati press release and official images for you to drool over.
The Maserati GranTurismo S is powered by a 4.7 liter V8 engine producing 440 horsepower (reported as 435 yesterday) and is mated with an electro-actuated gearbox with fast MC-Shift. The GranTurismo S comes with high-performance Brembo bakes as first introduced on the Quattroporte Sport GT S.
With minimal aesthetic changes to the outside, the inside of the GranTurismo S Poltrona Frau leather and Alcantara upholstery and figure-hugging front and rear sports seats.

MASERATI PRESENTS THE GRANTURISMO S
A year after the unveiling of the GranTurismo, Maserati will be back at the Geneva International Motorshow with yet another world premiere, the GranTurismo S. The ultimate expression of the Trident coupé’s sportiness shifts the emphasis onto performance and driving enjoyment.
Two main novelties are at the heart of the new Maserati: the 440 hp V8 4.7 engine and the electro-actuated gearbox with fast MC-Shift arranged in the transaxle layout typical of high-performance sports cars that represents the technological DNA of all Maseratis.
The GranTurismo S makes use of the high-performance brake system developed in collaboration with Brembo and introduced for the first time in the automotive field on the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S. The system features front brake discs made with dual-cast technology – a dual casting of cast iron and aluminium, paired with aluminium mono-bloc 6-piston brake callipers, ensuring optimised braking performance.
On the exterior the Maserati GranTurismo S is characterised by a number of aesthetic modifications that, although discrete, are highly effective and make the car body appear sportier without abandoning the sleekness of the lines masterfully designed by Pininfarina.
The interior upholstered in Poltrona Frau leather and Alcantara reflects the sporty flair of the Maserati GranTurismo S; the figure-hugging front and rear seats are distinguished by their new dynamic design with horizontal piping on the seats and seatbacks.

Hmm...what happens if your shoulders are higher than the recess in the seats? They would force you to tuck your shoulders forward and your back inward.
I think i like the rear ALOT more than the front. And like Internal Combustion said "The 440 hp is a bump in the nice direction, but I want 500."

The Germans have always had a diabolical streak in them when it comes to their machine's repairability. Krautcars should have a sticker under the hood that says: "Abandon all hope, all ye who enter here with tools, and a schedule to keep."
Will 22's do? These are not my favorite wheel design ever, but the black and red theme is nice.
I was kidding.
