Audi is presenting a very special concept car at the Geneva Motor Show: The Audi Q7 coastline combines the breathtaking power of a twelve-cylinder TDI with the elegant style of an exclusive yacht. A large part of the high-performance SUV’s exterior and interior is bathed in a trendy white. Under the hood resides the world’s strongest diesel engine in a series-production vehicle – the six-liter V12 capable of delivering 368 kW (500 hp) of power.
I think the fashion trends of the '80s were so horrible that they warped the universe into an endless loop, which we are forever doomed to travel. '80s -> Grunge -> "Bling." And then back to the start again. Kill me.

maritime-inspired? literally, an Audi "land yacht?"

"We're society's crowbar. They hate us, they never want to acknowledge the dirty jobs they give us to do, but when the job is done they never throw us away - they just slip us back in the toolbox until they need us the next time. And there will always be a next time."-Jim Hooper. Beneath the Visiting Moon: Images of Combat in Southern Africa
I like it a lot. Sort of reminds me of Richard Hammond's amphibious car on Top Gear - except a lot better. A lot of people say it's cheesy, but I think it actually looks really good - but I'd make an open top version with a bridge where the boot normally is.

This place is is insane - the biggest complaint I hear in the Car Lounge is that VW's are too expensive when loaded up with options and yet when they want to decontent and lower the price, the complaints get even louder. You can't have it both ways.
BBS wheels for the outside.. Teak for the wood (Aston Martin has done it, VW Individual has done it in the Phaeton and it looks GOOD). No car should ever have a light colored steering wheel... Thats going to look like poo in no time. Lose the white on the panels for the buttons/ controls and trim.
Isn't that the new VW Routan??? I swear that it is, it looks like a Mini-van, or like a Pacifica on steroids... I like the others, but that is just something awful.
Not a big fan of the gigantic front end ground effects. The black plastic, milk crate "corners" seem a little overwrought, also.

There are plenty of existing technologies that produce emissions free electricity. There isn't one single technology in the world that produces emissions free gasoline.

You know, since you always seem to see ridiculous likenesses in every new vehicle, it makes me wonder how you've made it through life thus far without mistaking a jug of bleach for your latte.
You can pull off a maritime theme on a car like the Rolls Drophead because it's owners are likely using it to haul themselves down to their "other" yacht, and the car is a boat to begin with, but on a ****ing Audi it just looks absurd. What made someone thing this was worth wasting time and money on?
