At this year's New York International Auto Show Ford will display the new Warriors in Pink edition of the 2009 Ford Mustang. The 2009 Ford Mustang WiP Edition is limited to 1,000 units. For each vehicle sold Ford will donate USD 500 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, that's double what Ford donated from their 2008 Mustang WiP Edition. Over 14 years Ford has donated more than USD 95 million to breast cancer education and research and hopes to raise USD 1 million this year.
“Thanks to the tremendous response from our dealers and customers to the 2008 ‘Warriors in Pink’ Mustang, we knew we needed to continue offering the package, and we’re happy to be able to increase our support for the Cure at the same time,” said Connie Fontaine, Ford Experiential Marketing manager.
The 2009 Mustang Warriors in Pink package is available on the Mustang V6 Premium Coupe and Convertible. The package includes a new grille, pink ribbon and pony fender badge, pink striping and pink stitching on the charcoal leather seats and steering wheel. The charcoal floor mats have their own pink ribbons.
The 2009 Ford Mustang WiP will be available at dealerships nationwide this summer.
Seeing how many girls at my high school got Mustangs for their birthday or whatever, I could actually seeing a lot of them wanting one with a pink stripe.

ding ding ding
I predict 90% of the drivers will be high school age girls.
Both my Mom and my Aunt are breast cancer survivers and they are all about the prink ribbons and cancer awareness walks.
Right now my mom care sports no less than 3 ribbon magnets and a cancer plate.
If the money is going to research for a cure thats great, personaly I am tired about hearing fund raisers for awarness when research need so much funding.

If Prometheus had descended from Olympus to give you fire, you probably would have freaked out and thrown it back.
The only reason I know this is from an old business class, but considering the Mary Kathleyn Wagner (Mary Kay Ash) has been dead since the early 2000's, nope that's not her.
That's just one of her top makeup whor...er, reps, as they all receive the traditional "Mary Kay Cadillac" as I think they are eligible for an obnoxious pink Caddy only at the top whatever level. You gotta hand it to her though, as much as I can't stand everything that company is (pyramid scheme much... ), she built herself one hell of a corporation starting from a 3-5K initial investment.
Personally having seen a few friends deal with breast cancer, good on Ford. I'm sure they'll sell out in a heartbeat. It's insane the amount of ribbons & awareness *stuff* those folks snap up, but as it's for a good cause, who cares.
edit: here's a picture of Mary Kay. Somehow...exactly how I pictured her.

"No, honey, you don't look retarded at all! I'm soo happy you cut your hair like I told you to [the girls will love this one. For my next trick I'll have him jump off the Brooklyn Bridge]"
You know, all things considered... I think this was done very tastefully.
- They didn't paint the cars solid pink - They used V6's (how many V6 Mustang owners do you know that are male? ) - They kept the treatment fairly subtle for being pink
Your car does not have soul, you just have a pitiful selection of adjectives in your vocabulary. -... .- -. - .- -... ..- .-.. .- I post useless garbage at http://twitter.com/salynch

they should have black and white as color choices too...pink and silver look kinda wierd
I've seen a number of Mustangs roaming the streets with pink racing stripes already....all of them V6 models. Given the target audience of a V6 Mustang anyway, it makes sense and it is tastefully done.
Seriously. Go read about the business. It almost more of a damn cult (sans religious aspect) than a business. Yet, they somehow manage ~2Billion in sales annually. It really made for an interesting read. I wish I could remember whom wrote it, but they *ripped* Mary Kay to shreds. There was another hilarious article that actually mentioned something to the effect of their sub-machine guns also being pink.
