For $2500 in the year 2008, I actually think it's pretty amazing.

Based on what information? The target market for this car are people who currently haul a family of 4 on a moped or bicycle. This is a far better alternative.

That car is amazing

The configurator is buggy for me though, I'm stuck at the seats and the options won't load

Many USA IT companies are outsourcing work to Tata... my company actually has several contractors from this company.. don't assume that people in India don't use computers because they don't all drive huge high-tech cars that get 5 mpg and cost $50,000+

I think this is the first time I have seen colors dictate whether you get alloy wheels, a/c, and power windows & locks.

But I would totally buy one of these instead of a moped, especially in Wisconsin.

plus, my deep seeded hatred of IT outsourcing... as I'm one of those wonderful Dell guys you USED to get to fix your PC over the phone that you could understand and didn't follow a script and actually knew how to FIX your PC without having to put you on hold every 2 seconds.
That was a fun 6 months of unemployment.

So, I was configurating mine, and I got to the "dashboard" section...

There was nothing to do...

Was I picking the optional dashboard or something...?

No, but seriously, is that what I was doing?

Is that something you planned to do forever? Wouldn't you rather have some poor soul in India manning the phones so you can do something more interesting?

Btw, 'nano' doesn't refer to nano in the sense of 10^(-9), but 'nano' is a Gujurati/Parsi word for 'little'.

Wow, I speak Gujurati and that one slipped past me.

Never understood why decals are considered so cool over there. I remember the top of the line Tata's SUVs would all come with a helping of decals on the sides.
