If they were made in Europe, then they'd have soul as well as sole I'm betting they're all made by 7 year olds in Thailand or the Philippines for $0.10 an hour. Therefore no soul.

Well... technically if they were made in South Korea they would have SEOUL! I had to, apologies.
Me make shiny. All the cool kids are blogging. So, let's see how badly I can screw it up! http://rupertsrnc.blogspot.com/
On second thought, lets not go to The Car Lounge. Tis a silly place. "And this is the Lamborghini Murcialago SV... which is as mad and wonderful as the president of the country where it was made"
We didn't exactly miss the Ferrari Supersqualo. . . we just didn't include it for the sake of limiting the article to one shoe per brand. BMW was the more attainable of the two, so we went with that. Not to mention we don't have any Ferraris sitting around the Motive office to shoot the shoes with.. They are, however, mentioned in the BMW Puma text.
I love going to drive events, Like Audi's or Porsche's - you know, where the driver gets 4 minutes behind the wheel, and the yo-yo's arrive with their driving shoes in hand...speaking of yo-yo's wheres Chris Atkinson been?
"Nothing hurts worse than being beat over the head with the truth." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't know where you live, but it must be the place where carnies come from.
I think Puma makes the best shoes and they have a pretty big presence in Motorsports.... I have a couple of pairs of the motorsports inspired shoes and they're great for driving and super comfortable...of course they're not made for real track use as they're not flame retardant but Puma has their own site where the real stuff can be purchased.
I didn't know this until I watched a documentary last night, but Colin Mcrae has a whole line of racing shoes that look pretty damn good, but are a bit pricey. http://shop.colinmcraesport.com/

But that would only happen in my magical dreamworld, where VW dealers were a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-like experience, everything had 4Motion and only cost $12K, and the ORLY owls were my co-pilots.
Ive got these, with green suede instead of silver. Decent driving shoes.. nice shoes overall... and your wet footprints leave tiremarks. Knowing you have a tire tread on the bottom of your shoe.. makes you want to try and to a burnout or something tire-like

"One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
-Lounge's most timid driver: 2008-2009 I dont even drive anymore. I sneak around on my MTB.
Yea...lets not mention the fact that Cat boots suck a fat one. Overpriced, poorly made, and quick to wear out. As an employee they offer us a pretty good discount on them too, I'll spend money and buy something that will last longer than a month in a shop enviroment.
That said, if you drive with them everyday, they arent that bad. I used to show up to autocrosses with my old doc martin work boots on just cause thats what I was used to driving the car in. Drove the pants off that car too, got FTD-i a few times.
Me too, but sadly I can't afford them... I'm really surprised that there wasn't a Piloti shoe mentioned.
Piliots are excellent shoes (a number of us at Motive own a pair) but the mission in this article was to find co-branded driving shoes (DC/Subaru, Puma/BMW, Adidas/Porsche, Onitsuka/Mini) and unfortunately, Piloti doesn't have any such partnerships.

Piloti makes a VIR edition shoe in green and a Turner Motorsport shoe in blue/yellow, if I'm not mistaken.
