Motive List: Ain't That Some Kit - The Good, Bad and Ugly of today's modern kit cars« »

As we noted in our show overview yesterday, Carlisle isn't your normal car gathering. You don't walk the aisles saying, "Oooh, that's cool!" about every single car. While you might look one way at a very impressive Volvo 1800, you'll turn the other way to see some guy who thinks he's Cole Trickle standing next to his abomination of a Monte Carlo-based NASCAR replica. Here's a breakdown of Motive's good, bad, and just plain ugly from one of our favorite shows...

Man, what's bad about that rolling "stock" car chassis? If it's a quality piece reasonably priced, it's pretty freakin' cool, IMO

For the BDR Roadster....Did they buy a rolling chassis from Superformance or a kit from somewhere like Factory 5 Racing? Or did they do it on their own?
Also, what roush engine....car really pops with that colour combo, dont think I could rock that colour scheme though

What do they say about sequels: they are never as good as the first?

What about the Ultima GTR? Is that not considered a "kit car" because it is all new components?

This list was part of a Carlise import and kit car show feature we did. It featured kit cars at the show, not just kits in general.

The computer can't tell you the emotional story. It can give you the exact mathematical design, but what's missing is the eyebrows.
