 Audi A1 Sportback Concept« »

Quote, originally posted by Zercustoms »
just hours away from the official unveiling, the first Audi A1 Sportback Concept images are surfacing all over the web. After the Lamborghini leak, and now this one, it seems the manufacturers can't trust anyone anymore to not brake the embargo.

The Audi A1 Sportback Concept is powered by a hybrid powertrain that includes a 1.4-liter TFSI engine and an electric motor that combined offer almost 180 hp. The Audi A1 Sportback Concept is equipped with the dual-clutch S-Tronic gearbox and can get from 0 to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds.

More details and high-res images of the Audi A1 Sportback Concept will be available here in a few hours.

Exactly. Closely related to brahs (bros who consume a lot of pot, reggae, and longboards), brohams (surfer bros) and dudebros (fraternity bros).

Exterior looks a bit busy, wheels are nasty. New take on the Audi single frame grille in terms of shape.

Interior is very nice.

which i personally like. Little variation is welcome. Exterior is very stealthy and the proportions are spot on - typical from Audi.

I like it. It's looks better proportioned than most cars in its class. The rear looks like it's got a little C30 influence (which I happen to like), and the crisp beltline makes me think of a 1 Series.

Pretty simple what it means...

A) Audi or one of their suppliers is copying Apple's interface
or
B) Apple is writing the software that controls the A2's head unit.

Turbocharged with Fuel Stratified Injection....wouldn't this be the same as the current 2.0TFSI gasser, but diesel fueled?!?!?!?!

Yuck.

That's definitely a step backwards from the direction they have been taking the brand.

I would love to see a baby A3 to compete with Mini's etc.

However with this concept... Please don't.

I'll add a further note.

I'm very happy to see premium brands starting to give more consideration to smaller vehicles. As the stigma of small = econo-box is slowly fading away with current fuel woes, I'm all for premium players offering smaller packages still laden with features and characteristics that people associate with the brand.

That being said, I don't think there is a need to make cars that scream statements or are just 'out there'. I would think with the current design cues Audi has been releasing they could make a very attractive A1 concept.

I was going to say aren't all diesel's direct injected. Ok maybe not all I don't want to leave myself with an out but like the majority.
