Sorry but, looks like a C70. Which is ok because the Volvo looks good and from the front door forward this does also, but the behind that is toooooo looooong.
you can't really tell much from those pictures, but they messed up the lines of the car. It looks really awkward with the long trunk. Not feeling it at all, I hope the have a real coup in the works, not just this hard-top one. I think both the 3 series and G37 convertibles look a lot nicer.
It took them long enough. I'd like to see an actual 2-door hardtop. But it's definitely a nice car for a night drive in the city and a day on Rodeo Drive.
god, i hate hardtop convertibles. this is no exception! for whatever reason i just cant get into them... call me crazy, but that thing is heinous
I don't think it's crazy at all. It's difficult to make a hardtop convertible look good for obvious reasons. You almost always have to have a long decklid and a bunch of cut lines in the roof, which has a compromised shape, anyway. Ick.
I'm curious to see how the G37 hardtop-convertible looks with the roof up. Not too pretty, I'd wager.
For the most part. If memory serves, it's also the cucumber capital of Japan. Hence the home-market ads for the FT-86 featuring Takeichi-kun, the cartoon cucumber whose meteoric rise through the underground drift world has shamed him in the eyes of his school-master.
The rush to put hard tops on every 'vert out there has thrown off something called 'proportion'. The rear deck throws off visual balance, the tails look like they belong on something from the mid 90s and on top of that they are too huge, the tear drop shape of the rear window just looks out of place......I could go on.
Has there ever been a good looking Toyota drop top? The Supra and Mr2 were targas. Maybe the 90's Celica? This falls into the crap category. Like most Toyota products this may be OK, but that's all it will ever be.

as for the Boster, HELL NO, i chose a volvo s60 over a boxter (when i had to chose between the two as a daily car) cuz honestly i don't consider the boxter to be a porsh (to me it's ugly and very slow, it's just for the name people buy it. )
Awkward... I'd slot it in as nearly as awkward as the Chrysler Sebring and Pontiac G6. The Eos, C70, and 3-series verts are all better looking (but still awkward). Not that the 50+ yr old women that will buy them really care... They just want the possibility of putting the top down, but won't because they don't want to mess up their hair.

Meh, pretty non-descript. Can I get an IS-F-C please.
Ehh.. more power + convertible =/= enjoyment. Cowl shake doesn't become fun if you're going faster.
