Another hour, another teaser for the Detroit Auto Show. This time, it's for the upcoming Cadillac SRX that broke cover at the Pebble Beach Concours in photographic form only (as in, there wasn't actually one there.) Today, Cadillac has taken advantage of snowy conditions in Michigan to take the SRX out to test its all-wheel drive system and apparently, have a little fun along the way. It looks like it'll drift nicely. The video is embedded through the link.
There are plenty of existing technologies that produce emissions free electricity. There isn't one single technology in the world that produces emissions free gasoline.
For the most part. If memory serves, it's also the cucumber capital of Japan. Hence the home-market ads for the FT-86 featuring Takeichi-kun, the cartoon cucumber whose meteoric rise through the underground drift world has shamed him in the eyes of his school-master.
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I'm fairly positive it's neither. The two platforms are very similar but the Caddy is supposed to use the more upscale, hi-tech version. When developed (the platform) it was never intended to be exclusive to any one brand.
We need a TCL Regional Forum so CLICK HERE and vote in favor of it.
Love it. Although I think the new Equinox looks nearly as good for what I would assume is considerably less money. One has to wonder how much better the Caddy version will be.
This is NOT "Theta" (or "Theta II") (Vue, Equinox, Torrent)
This is NOT "Lambda" (Acadia, Outlook, Traverse)
This is "Theta-Epsilon." Its a mix of mostly Epsilon II parts and a few Theta bits thrown in. As stated above, only the Saab 9-4x and the SRX will be on this platform initially.
This new one may look better but I don't know if it will be as capable as the old SRX, which was one of the most agile SUV's.
No doubt being on the Sigma platform. I loved the first SRX because of that. There is no way in hell they can make the new one ride as nicely and handle as well, but then... most people buying crossovers aren't driving them in kamikazi mode like I did ours.
The new one is certainly better looking, and is the best looking of the mini-luxury 'utes. I am not sure if FWD should be offered at all. I thought Caddy vowed that they would not sell FWD cars anymore? I guess a non-AWD model probably allows them to offer a reasonably fuel-efficient SUV. Do the Lexus RX, Acura MDX, Acura RDX, or Volvo XC90 come with AWD standard?

why does it look like the Pontiac Torrent or Chev Equinox?
Is it the mode in which the video was shot? The car just seems squished.
Could it be the high headlight cluster or the high belt line?
YouTube converts stuff shot in 16:9 to 4:3 ratio and it screws it up. That's probably what you're seeing there. If you want to see the difference, check the video link in my signature, and then watch the same one posted on Youtube. They're supposed to be supporting 16:9 soon, but who knows how long it will take.
I feel like we've seen this already. Oh, right--we have. It looks exactly like the "design study concept" from a couple of months ago, save a few incredibly minor detail changes.
Visually, it's not bad...not my favorite compact luxury crossover, but better-looking than most. I think the Equinox is more handsome on the outside, though, even if it's also significantly more generic.
I don't know, it is too angular to me. It works on the CTS, even the CTS Coupe concept, but the front of the CUV is really a turn off to me right now w/ these initial pics.
Or it could just be the grey from the Japolnik pics, black in the video looks better.
