Larry's kickass AMC thread got me hankerin' for some old-school dealership pictures. I guess you could say I'm a history buff..I love old pics and newsreel footage...and God forbid you take me to a museum and expect to get out of there quickly.
I searched and can't find such a thread having been done recently. Hemmings occasionally has some excellent stuff ( http://blog.hemmings.com/index...ships/ ) but I wanted to see what TCL has out there.
Bonus points to anybody who can provide 70's or early 80's Datsun or Mazda dealerships. I award you the Internet if you provide some E30's in their original, unsold state.

Life is bland enough for Toyota owners, they need some excitement. Nothin says wake the f**k up like riding a runaway washing machine at 100mph down the freeway
For the most part. If memory serves, it's also the cucumber capital of Japan. Hence the home-market ads for the FT-86 featuring Takeichi-kun, the cartoon cucumber whose meteoric rise through the underground drift world has shamed him in the eyes of his school-master.
If the pasture dreams and slaughterhouse tears of baby cows on the fast track to a bolt in the head were cheaper than Mobil One, I know what I would choose.

This was the only other of Ace Wilson's Royal Pontiac I could find
This was where the Pontiac GTO was prepped before its "duel" with the Ferrari GTO in C&D..... Let's just say it's hard to externally tell a 389 from a 421

These photos turned up while I was researching the Nash thread. I love vintage dealership shots, too.

The techs were never that good-looking in any shop I've worked for!

"I think that cars today are almost the exact equivalent of the great Gothic cathedrals: I mean the supreme creation of an era, conceived with passion by unknown artists, and consumed in image if not in usage by a whole population which appropriates them as a purely magical object."
Actually, the full-size Chevys in that shot are all '62s, except for the two on the bottom-center, which are '61s. Just a minor point, but I can't help mydamnself.

I was testing you you passed
Oldsmobile in the top right? this is such a great pic, especially after seeing all of the german and asian parking garages like this. this pic should have it's own ID thread.
It's a luxo-rocket, there's no real need for a manual. Just lean back, push the pedal, light up the turbos, and sail off into rotary oblivion.

That's f*ckin awesome. In a matter of fact, this whole car is badass!!!! Driving a musclecar should be like a rolling face in someone else's rearview mirror.

In all fairness, if this was posted in the MKIII/MKIV/MKV Forums, you'd probably get a much better reception. If the cover photo was dripping with HDR, you could probably hear the man-goo smacking their monitors.
