My French isnt great. But at one point I heard "We saw a person that looked German, so we packed up everything we own and are looking for an American to save us!"
Not bad but not nearly enough speed to outrun the Crown Vics and helicopter with. If do have enough speed, it's still suicide anyway.
The fact that the Maxima couldn't outrun a friggin' heavy-arsed P71 speaks volumes...unless the dude in the Maxima was packing like half a ton of drugs then it kinda/sorta makes sense.
A couple weeks ago a Dodge Sprinter exploded about 100 yards outside my office. It was my boss' suggestion we go out and look. So yeah, they may have places to be but clearly not as important as this.

The 190HP I believe it was equipped with isn't nearly enough for a car that size to ditch the cops with. Hell he would have been better off trying to ditch the cops with a dirtbike.
DALLAS — A man who said he was rushing his sick cat to the veterinarian led police on a high-speed chase through Dallas and neighboring suburbs that lasted for more than an hour Monday afternoon.
The man appeared to have blood on his head as officers led him away after the chase ended in Richardson, off busy Highway 75 just north of Dallas.
The man told reporters at the scene that his cat was dying and he was rushing to get the animal to a veterinarian. When asked why he didn't stop, the driver said he was hoping that pursuing officers would quit following him.
i dont have sound on the computer here, couldnt hear why he was running..
wait is this the same chase they are talking about?

DALLAS - A man lead Dallas County Sheriff’s Office constables on a high-speed chase across several Dallas-area freeways Monday afternoon.
According to the DSO, the chase began just after 1 p.m. near the intersection of Interstates 635 and 30 in Mesquite. Constables got a controlled substance hit on the car, they said.
At least eight officers got involved in the chase. At one point constables tried to spike the car’s tires near Interstate 35 and Royal Lane in Dallas.
The chase finally ended at about 2:30 p.m. when the car hit a truck at a red light on Plano and Buckingham roads in Richardson.
The driver of the car was transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the truck was not seriously hurt.
