I've always been fascinated by underwater wrecks, even more so by sunken vehicles, especially of WWII era as found in abundance around the Pacific islands area.
Thought I'd share some.

This is actually a NYC transit subway car. How interesting!
My French isnt great. But at one point I heard "We saw a person that looked German, so we packed up everything we own and are looking for an American to save us!"
This T34 Tank was found in almost mint condition (They were even able to start it after some cleaning) after it was accidentally driven into a freshwater pond 62 years ago.
Dude, where did you come from? Every post you've made is phenomenal. Did you plan this all out before joining? I think you're officially the new TCL darling.

I heard that every new US Polo is going to ship with a copy of Duke Nukem Forever.

There was a cool program on the History Channel not to long ago where they found a Panther Tank I think in some river in France I think and they where restoring it, it was a good watch.
those Red MTA trains were from the 7 line traveling from flushing to grand central in Manhattan I rode in those all my childhood and into my teens going to HS I was glad to know they all went down for a good cause

I agree, and the first post I can remember was someone commenting on his choice of user name, his response being "shut your whore mouths while miley cyrus' new song is at the top of the charts" or something to that effect.
After the tank surfaced, it turned out to be a ‘trophy’ tank, that had been captured by the German army in the course of the battle at Sinimaed (Blue Hills) about six weeks before it was sunk in the lake. Altogether, 116 shells were found on board. Remarkably, the tank was in good condition, with no rust, and all systems (except the engine) in working condition.... After a small repair and service they were able to start it’s diesel engine.
65 Years at the bottom of a lake and the thing still runs. That Russian tank is built like a...built like a umm...Russian Tank!
This thread is already probably my favorite thread of the last few months. I LOVE this sort of thing.
Sorta, kinda related.....I was watching a program last night in which they were discovering all of these underground tunnels in Berlin.....used for bomb shelters in WWII.....it was awesome.

I've often said that most corporations should employ an eight year old child of average intelligence. Anything that the kid thinks is dumb, evil, or incomprehensible gets tossed out.
German armour = Quality over Quantity Soviet armour = Quantity over Quality
at least thats how I remember it from school
WOW, you didnt sleep through history class?
Your statement is true. As Lenin said, "there's a quality to quantity" So at the end of the day, the super duper hi-tech King Tiger, can be killed by stone-age like tech if theres enough (T34s) to overwhelmin the King tiger.
